Alta Mar is thrilled to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Agence Nationale de l’Aquaculture (ANA) in Senegal. This landmark agreement marks the beginning of a significant collaboration to develop an industrial-scale marine aquaculture project in Senegal.
The project will feature a central marine farm and a hatchery, aimed at boosting the aquaculture sector in the region. The central marine farm will focus on the cultivation of high-value marine species, leveraging advanced aquaculture techniques to ensure sustainable and efficient production. The hatchery will serve as a critical component, supplying high-quality juvenile fish to the farm, thereby ensuring a steady and reliable production cycle.
This partnership aligns with Alta Mar’s commitment to fostering sustainable aquaculture practices and contributing to food security and economic development in Africa. By working closely with ANA, we aim to harness the vast potential of Senegal’s coastal resources, creating jobs, supporting local communities, and promoting environmental sustainability.
We are excited about the opportunities this project will bring and look forward to working with ANA to achieve our shared vision of a thriving and sustainable aquaculture industry in Senegal.
Stay tuned for more updates on our progress and the positive impacts this project will have on the region.
