Following our successful acquisition of Seabream broodstock at the Mazarrón facility, Alta Mar is taking another major step in securing high-quality fish stock for our upcoming hatchery in Safi.
🐟 Newly Produced Broodstock:
- 2,500 European Sea Bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) at 90g
- 500 European Sea Bass at 3g
- 1,000 Gilthead Sea Bream (Sparus aurata) broodstock in production
These fish will be transported to our state-of-the-art hatchery in Safi once construction is completed. Looking ahead, Greater Amberjack (Seriola dumerili), Atlantic Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus thynnus), and Meagre (Argyrosomus regius) will also be introduced later this year.
This expansion strengthens our commitment to sustainable aquaculture, ensuring a robust and diverse broodstock program that will drive future production. We remain dedicated to pioneering innovative and responsible aquaculture while contributing to Morocco’s growing seafood industry.
